A pessimistic high school teacher who makes frequent attempts to end his life (and somehow never succeeds),
Nozomu Itoshiki is troubled by many aspects of life and society and will often voice how these things have left him in despair.
Mr. Itoshiki's homeroom consists of students with their own quirks, including a ridiculously optimistic girl,
